Postman Pat & friends have been on and off our screens for over 35 years. And even though the 2008/2009 Pat has all new vehicles and a new title of head of Special Delivery Service, the series and toys still retain some of the more quaint and innocent aspects of the show that made it a firm favorite for previous generations.
Originally set in the gentle but busy village of Greendale, Pat and his ever loyal companion Jess the cat have lots of adventures delivering the all important mail to characters such as Ted Glenn the handyman come-inventor and Alf the farmer.
In the later series Pat also works in the town of Pencaster where he encounters newer characters such as Ajay the train driver and Ben Taylor who works at Pencaster's sorting office. And although Pat has a motorbike and sidecar, and even a helicopter to help him carry out his work, he thankfully still also has his original and traditional post van.
Children will love acting out their favorites scenes from Greendale with the range of Postman Pat toys, which include figures and friction vehicles, featuring Pat, Jess & the post van, Ted Glenn & his truck and Ajay the train driver with his bright green steam locomotive.
